Connecting a Linksys extender to your Spectrum router is a terrific way to improve WiFi coverage. The signal from your router is simply picked up by the extender, which then disperses it across your house.

How to connect Linksys wifi extender to Spectrum router
Position the extender correctly.
Halfway between the weak signal area and the Spectrum router, plug the extender into a power socket.
Await the power light.
Give the LED light a minute or so to solidify.
Connect to the WiFi extender
Open WiFi settings on your laptop or phone, then connect to the network that the extender has set up.
Go to the setup page.
Enter the extender setup address in the address bar of a browser that has been opened.
Launch the setup wizard.
When the Linksys configuration page loads, click Start Setup.
Look for networks
The extender will look for WiFi networks in the area.
Choose Spectrum WiFi.

Enter the password for Spectrum.

Change the network name of the extender.
For the extended network, you may either use the same name or give it a new one.
Finish the setup

Reconnect the devices
To take advantage of improved coverage, connect your devices to the expanded network.
After connecting, your extender will strengthen the signal in places that the Spectrum router couldn't adequately reach.
