DBT Agriculture has a responsibility to embrace the mission and vision of the organization and strive to reduce food insecurity in West Africa by using agricultural resources with utmost efficiency, while simultaneously maximizing genetic diversity.
The Department of Botany, Tropical Plant Soil Sciences (DBTSS) is situated on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. We conduct research at regional sites around the world as well as at our own research station outside of Cotonou, Benin.
DBTSS offers a diverse undergraduate curriculum that prepares students for graduate study or employment in plant-related professions such as horticulture, plant breeding and genetics, forestry sciences and conservation biology.
